INTRODUCTION.
Audio information as well as video information is very important for us in our life. At the same time if we look at the document processing field, where documents are typed, edited, sent, stored, etc., audio is practically not used at all. TokiVoki opens a way to use audio information as well as textual information, by working with integrated text and sound documents.
Being a word editor, TokiVoki is also a sound recorder, player and editor. And it creates documents where text and sound live together.
Using TokiVoki.
Using TokiVoki is easy. It is the same as using an editor like MsWord or WordPerfect.
File format.
TokiVoki uses its own file format with extention tov. It can also read txt, MS doc, and some sound files too. It can also Save As txt, html and MS doc files without saving the sound component of the tov file.
Text decoration.
You may put images, format text with fonts, margins, colors, use tables.
Spell checking.
TokiVoki has a spellchecker, which currently supports English, French, Russian and Spanish languages;
PLATFORM:
- MS Windows(TM): W98/Me/NT4/W2000/XP/Vista;
- Linux (under Wine);
on at least Pentium 200Mhz computer with a sound card and a microphone.
NOTE:
Importing sound files on a slow computer may take some time, because TokiVoki has to decompresses the sound to make the visualisation. But if you then save the file in TokiVoki format tov, the saved document will be opened fast.
